Let’s Talk About Race! By Mara Giglio

Ohio University has been sponsoring Campus Conversations on race this year and APJN got to be a part of the event planning as well as facilitating small groups. The most successful event was a panel of people talking about their journeys of discovering their own racial identities. After the panel, we broke into small groups to discuss our own personal experiences of figuring out our own racial identities. This event had the largest attendance out of all of the Campus Conversations this year with about 250 people. At another event, we showed the film, “Dear White People” and had small group discussions afterwards.
